Disclosures
Plain answers about how WattsBarLakeRiprap.com works.
We're a referral service
WattsBarLakeRiprap.com connects Watts Bar Lake property owners with independent local contractors. We don't place riprap, build walls, build or repair docks, or install lifts ourselves, and we don't employ the contractors we refer.
How we're paid
Contractors pay us to receive referrals or to advertise on this site. Property owners never pay us anything.
One contractor per request
Each request goes to one contractor who serves your part of the lake, not to a list of companies.
Contractors are responsible for their work
The contractor you hire is responsible for their licensing, insurance, permits, pricing, workmanship, and warranties. Any agreement is between you and the contractor. We encourage you to verify any contractor's Tennessee license before hiring. Who does the work explains when Tennessee requires one.
Calls may be recorded
Calls to our phone number may be recorded for quality and to confirm referrals.
Agencies and sources
This site is not affiliated with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Department of Energy, or any county. Shoreline and dock rules on this site are summarized from TVA's published Section 26a regulations, application instructions and FAQ, and from the state, federal and county pages each guide lists as sources. Cost figures are the national figures each page names, with the date stated. All of it is general information, not legal advice. TVA, the state, the county, and your contractor's written quote are what count.
